Born and raised in Hong Kong, Gillian immigrated to Canada with her family in her teenage years. Equipped with an engineering degree from Simon Fraser University, Gillian joined the thriving high-tech sector in BC, working as a software tester, business analyst and UI/UX designer over the course of 15 years.

 

Her passion for helping people through building creative solutions motivated her to pursue graphic design, which for her was the perfect combination of art and problem-solving.

Gillian has since collaborated with both for- and non-profit organizations, including Harrison Healthcare, a comprehensive healthcare provider with a focus on compassion, and Nation to Nation, a non-profit advocating for hope for the vulnerable Myanmar communities at the Thai/My border.

 

Gillian currently leads a graphic design business that offers communications solutions through a people-centred, design-driven approach. She also provides coaching to entrepreneurs, drawing from her unique combination of engineering experience, artistic inclinations, and empathetic posture.
